Player Run Events
For the simple purpose of distinction we define story lines run by staff as Plots, and those run by players as Events. Now, staff will be running plots across the grid, but it would be nearly impossible, not to mention detrimental to the stories, to include every player on every plot. Not every player and plot will be a match for each other, either. So, as one option to help generate good stories here, and to give our more creative players a vent for those urges, we will allow players to run stories for one another.
Within certain guidelines:
All stories must be submitted to staff for approval before
they can be run. The staff may reject a proposed story. Generally a reason will
be given, but occasionally, due to other plotlines, the rejection will have to
stand alone.
Player run stories cannot have grid effecting events (no
blowing up the nuclear plant), or character mechanic boosting effects (dying in
story is fine, setting yourself up for future political events is fine, running
one just to let your friend rob a bank and raise her Resources isn't). Such
events, if desired, require staff plots.
Logs of the story must be submitted to the staff within 48
hours of completion. Staff will endeavor to have the logs processed within 72
hours of submission.
Until the staff finishes processing the logs of the story, the events are considered not to have happened yet.
